Normal activities have now resumed in United Estate, Lekki-Lagos after yesterday's heavy downpour that halted economic activities in the area.
Schools, offices, shops were opened this morning when our reporter visited the area to ascertain the state of the road leading to the Estate.
A food vendor, Iya Ellen who recounted yesterday's experience said "what happened yesterday has never been experienced before. I couldn't sell anything. I spent the whole of yesterday scooping water out of my shop.
Properties worth thousands of Naira were damaged in some of the shops in the area.
"My bag of rice that i wanted to cook yesterday was socked. The government should do something about this road before it destroys other things". she said.
