BUHARI'S REPLACEMENT: WHY APC SHOULD BEGIN THE PROCESS NOW!

Recently, the minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun admitted that Nigeria's economy is ' technically ' in recession.

This announcement, to many did not  come as a surprise as evidences abound everywhere to  show that indeed the economy is in recession, suffering from massive ineptitude and gross incompetence of the managers of the country and the country's economy.

In just one year, Buhari and his team of highly ineffective and sycophantic hailers have plundered the economy so much so that over 20,000 jobs have been lost, prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed and malnutrition has risen to an unimaginable height. In Nigeria today, there is anger, anger necessitated by hunger. Hunger has invaded the land like we have seen before. Food pots are now stolen from the fire, corporate beggars now flooded the cities and Parents now sell their babies to buy food.

While the government is busy pursing Fani Kayode, Ayo Fayose, Kenneth Minimah, Ihejirika, Olisa Metuh and others who allegedly stole campaign and arms money, Buratai, Amaechi, and Dambazzau (who was almost lynched by northern youths and called Barawo) are walking the streets free.

Buhari, by his body language, is gradually but constantly helping Nigerians to hate their country. He is fundamentally helping Nigerians sow and nurture the seeds of discord. This was quite evident in his unholy silence when Agatu was invaded and thousands were killed, Enugu community was sacked and many were killed in Nassarawa  by the FulaniHerdsmen.

The president was silent again when an Igbo woman was killed in kano, Abuja and in Kaduna. The president carried on as if nothing has happened.

That same president flew to Zamfara when it was reported that 500 cattle where stolen. While in Zamfara, the president vowed to deal decisively with anyone found to have been involved in the crime.

We must not deceive ourselves, Buhari is not national in character, in deeds and in form.

APC must not attempt to rebrand the president and sell to Nigerians in 2019 as such will ultimately snatch away from it the acceptance, loyalty and support it enjoys from voters.

APC must now look beyond Buhari, who has been established not to have the intellectual prowess, the charisma  and ethnic and religious neutrality to facilitate the much needed economic and political development of this country.

While some may argue that it is pretty too early to kick-start the process of getting a replacement for Buhari, but I strongly recommend it starts now, in fact it will be a smart move to start today so as to enable APC retain the presidency.
