Okogie we gathered, has been involved in diversion of varsity funds and massive looting, misappropriation of government funds and embezzlement of the Commission’s funds, to the tune of N20 billion. Okogie has accused one of the NUC board members of trying to blackmail him, but according to him, there is no proof whatsoever.

Okojie has severally been accused of financial impropriety and scandals. Julius Okogie we learnt, has been in the habit of getting kickbacks from Universities to accredit courses in those institutions that do not meet the regulated standard.

The NUC Boss is not alone in this, as findings also reveal that his partner in crime, Professor Akaehomen Okonigbon Akii Ibhadode who is Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, (FUPRE), has also been neck deep in embezzlement of the Institution’s funds,to the tune of 20 Billion Naira through the help of Okojie as NUC Secreatary barely one year after his appointment as Vice Chancellor.
