HOW APC BRIBED EDO SPEAKER TO STEP DOWN TO MAKE WAY FOR OSHIOMHOLE'S CANDIDATE

The APC has concluded arrangements to bribe Hon Elizabeth Ativie with the sum of N30m to temporarily step aside as Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, to enable an Esan legislator emerge as Speaker in order to hoodwink the Esan people into accepting Shuaibu as Deputy Governor to Godwin Obaseki, the APC governorship flag bearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

The grand plan, it was gathered, is for the APC to return Ativie as Speaker after the election. Ativie has reportedly accepted this plan plus her compensation of thirty million naira.

Ativie is expected to step aside today as Speaker.  Report indicates that signatures have been collected from all the APC legislators to have her impeached as quickly as possible if she failed to resign today.

Hon Justin Okounoboh, the honorable member representing Igueben constituency at the House is expected to be elected Speaker.

The Governor had reportedly requested that Hon Victor Edoro be returned as speaker but the house leadership vehemently rejected the request for fear that Edoro would return with vengeance.
No one is sure what stunt the governor may pull today because information leaked to our reporter indicated that the governor may have obtained the signatures of all the members of the APC in the House and no one knows what surprises he might pull.
Our reporter also gathered that the meeting which held at the government house last week fixed today Monday July 25 as the date to implement the plan.

When our Reporter went to town to ask what the Esan people feel about this plan, majority of those interviewed indicated that they have resolved to punish the APC for the marginalization of Esan people by voting for the PDP.

Angry APC youths at Irrua recently disrupted a meeting at where money meant to bribe the Esan people to accept Shuaibu was stolen by some APC leaders in the area.
Meanwhile the Uhunmwode Youths Association has threatened to disrupt the elections in Uhunmwode against the APC if they take away their position as Speaker to compensate Esan.

“The governor had better not tried it.  I am an APC leader in my local government but that will not stop me from telling the truth. We will ambush the APC in Uhunmwode if they tried that rubbish of taking away our Speakership. What else does Uhunmwode have apart from this speakership? We would declare Ativie a Persona Non Grata if she repeats her known treachery by selling her speakership for money and resigning from that office. Watch our what we shall be doing immediately she makes this mistake!” Mr Osas Ogiehor, the youth chairman, said.
