Edo APC governorship primaries: Obaseki emerges winner with 1 618 votes



Benin - Godwin Obaseki has won the Edo state gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on Saturday at Samueal Ogbemudia stadium in Benin.

According to PM News, the election ended in the early hours of Sunday and it was contested by 12 aspirants.
Governore Aminu Masara of Katsina state, who chaired the proceedings, announced the Obaseki’s election.

About 2 873 delegates from 192 wards of Edo state were accredited for the primary election.
Obaseki clinched 1 618 of the votes, while his closest rival managed to score 471 votes.
