BURSTED: AISHA BUHARI DID NOT VISIT THE USA

Al-IDIAKE NEWS can now authoritatively confirm that Aisha Buhari did not visit the US as it was claimed in some media reports.

Few days ago, it was reported that Aisha Buhari was attending an event hosted by The American Institute for Peace in US against the backdrop of allegations of corruption levelled against her  by Ayo Fayose, the Ekiti state Governor who insisted that Aisha dare not visit the US for fear of being arrested and charged for her role in the Harliburton  scandal.

Further checks by our reporter show that the American Institute of peace, Washington did not at any time received in audience Aisha Buhari, the wife of the president of Nigeria.

Further investigation show that the institute's website and blog had nothing published in respect of Aisha's visit.

It will be recalled that a picture of Aisha Buhari showed up online allegedly from SaharaReporters insisting that Aisha was in Washington DC for a week long event hosted by the American Institute of Peace.

On twitter , the president on Wednesday reveals that his wife, Aisha was in US, but when Al-IDIAKE NEWS visited these handles again on Friday, @ngrpresident @mbuhari it was discovered that the tweet has been deleted.

This action, no doubt confirmed that indeed, Aisha never visited the USA.

Inside sources at the American Institute for Peace, Abuja confirmed to Al-IDIAKE NEWS that the whole story about Aisha's visit to the US was all lies and cheap propaganda to silent Fayose and make him apologize to Aisha Buhari. To confirm this, one of the leading newspapers in Nigeria, wrote: " 

Now that Aisha is in US, if you were Fayose what will you do, apologize or keep quiet?".

Our tweets to @ngrpresident and @mbuhari requesting for an explanation as to why the tweet: "My wife Aisha is in US" was deleted was not responded to.
